Faux bois grain painted wooden comtoise, morbier or grandfather clock, having a pressed gilt polychrome metal face and pendulum, enameled dial with Roman numerals, glazed doors, and base section with painted florals. Signed to dial. Approx. h. 91.5", w. 19", d. 9".
Condition Report: Multiple stable cracks; some wear to surface; evidence of previous worming (inactive); losses to painted decoration on metal with dents; some darkening and non-distracting losses to painted surface on case; latch on lower door replaced; mechanism currently not in working condition, would recommend professional servicing; weights and key are present.
