19THC ENGLISH SILVER PRESENTATION GOBLET, 214g
A Victorian silver presentation stemmed cup / wine stem with embossed floral and foliate design surrounding, with circular base. Inscription on the bowl reads "Presented to Matthew Hayes Esq. on his leaving Kilmore September 8th, 1863 as a token of the estimation in which he is held by his fellow townsmen". Impressed makers marks to underside by John Tongue, Birmingham 1862.
