A Charming Little Box, The Lid Depicting Mounted Hunters In Traditional Persian Dress Amongst A Green And Rocky Terrain With A Dog. The Borders Are Painted Either Side With A Peony Flower Surrounded By Two Doves, The Alternate Side With One Dove. The Ends Are Decorated With Flowers, The Underside Decorated With Stylized Foliate Decoration. This Lovely Box Was Given To A British Diplomat In Persia (Aran) Many Years Ago In Gratitude For The Loan Of His House, A Note Of Thanks Is Enclosed With The Box. I Purchased This From The Great Granddaughter.
