19th C. American Smooth Bore Long Gun, Jos Golcher

Circa 1840-50 American smooth bore sporting gun, lock signed "Jos. Golcher", (Joseph Golcher Philadelphia 1830-1860). Large caliber, 11 gauge steel smooth bore barrel, with engraved percussion back action lock. Stock crafted in highly figured tiger maple with brass butt and trigger guard, wood ramrod. Overall good condition with scattered wear and small repairs, measures: 59" L.
