19th C. Austrian Steel Sword with Sharkskin Handle
Central Europe, Austria, ca. middle of the 19th century CE. A fine example of an Austrian infantry officer's sword, featuring an ornate hilt with a slotted guard and a silver-wire wrapped, sharkskin-covered grip. It features a curved, broad, fullered blade without any markings. It also has a steel sheath with two loops on the side. Size: 5.75" W x 36.75" H (14.6 cm x 93.3 cm)
