The lot features a fantastic Bennington salt glaze stoneware spittoon from the 1800's. The piece shows a classic Bennington, Vermont Rockhingham make with floral pattern showing a spitton tapered top with hole and side hole for clean out. This is a one piece stoneware example showing a yellow ware or brown ware with salt glaze finish in the classic browns, red and yellows. No makers mark shown. Overall well kept with an imperfection original to the making and glazing of the piece on the rim, no chips seen, but review pictures for condition. Measures 7.5-inches diameter by 4-inches high.
