[ translate ]

**Originally Listed At $250**

East Asia, China, Qing Dynasty, ca. 19th century CE. A beautiful wooden desk screen set within its custom decorative stand that is embellished with openwork floral motifs as well as red, cream, and black pigmentation. One side of the screen presents a painting of three figures, one of these individuals standing between the other two. The figure on the left is seated, while the figure on the right is gently bowing or leaning in. Although we cannot identify the central standing figure, the gestures/poses of the flanking figures suggests that this is a person of import. The opposite side features calligraphic writing; while some is lost, there are surviving characters. Size: 18.3" W x 20.875" H (46.5 cm x 53 cm)

Provenance: private J.H. collection, Beaverton, Oregon, USA, acquired in 2018; ex-Artemis Gallery; ex-private Boulder, Colorado, USA collection, acquired at Indochine Gallery, Boulder, Colorado, USA

All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.

A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany all winning bids.

We ship worldwide to most countries and handle all shipping in-house for your convenience.
