19th C. E.S. Ritchie Negus Binnacle Ship Navigation Tool
This is an awesome piece of nautical history in this Edward Samuel Ritchi binnacle. The Negus instrument with liquid inside, is housed in a solid copper box with brass handle and accents. There is an oil lamp on the right side, glass window on front shows the instrument, the back with a square hook for mounting. The Negus has two marks, one printed on the face and one around the frame with the manufacturer and numbered 918489, copper case is numbered 482. Overall approx measures 7.5" x 8" x 9" tall.
Condition Report: Overall in excellent display condition, probably in good working order, dent in left back corner of case, line in glass of Negus is the liquid.
