Western Europe, England or France, ca. late 19th century CE. A medium-sized travel trunk, crafted from wood covered in leather and iron rivets. The domed lid opens on brass hinges, revealing an interior lined with red cotton cloth. The iron rivets not only secure the leather covering but also adds a distinctive personalization and decorative flair for the owner. This trunk was probably ideal for overnight or brief journeys, and / or storage since it is resting on 4 short feet. . Size: 20" L x 12.5" W x 17.5" H (50.8 cm x 31.8 cm x 44.4 cm)
