Western Europe, probably England or Germany, ca. 19th century CE. A hand-carved wooden pipe of a tall form with several protruding bulbs that encircle the body. The narrow mouth is capped with an intricately etched 90% silver cap, with a stippled silver tube connecting the narrow stem to the body, and an eagle-topped silver mouthpiece capping the stem terminal. Size: 5.5" L x 4.75" H (14 cm x 12.1 cm); quality of silver: 90%

Condition Report: Silver mouthpiece cap reattached to end of stem, with light adhesive residue along break lines. Minor abrasions to pipe body, stem, and some silver adornments. Light earthen deposits within body, and nice patina throughout.
