Octagonal lacquer on gesso on wood ladies companion etui, tapered hour glass form with beaded base, decorated with gilt and polychrome tooled swag and flowers on a white ground, featuring a wreath form handle with a spring lock, the fold down sides opening to an interior with red fabric lining containing a sterling silver thimble, bone handled folding knife, button hook, crochet hooks, mirror, and a glass vinaigrette.
