French, early 19th century. Cream painted wooden Louis XVI paneled trumeau mirror having a scene of figures in a landscape in the manner of Jean-Antoine Watteau (1684 - 1721) above a mirrored plate. Unmarked. Approx. h. 78.5", w.46.5". Provenance: From The Estate of Mrs. Carol Klotz, proprietor of Regalo Antiques, of Atlanta, Georgia.
Condition Report: Pleasing distressed finish; loss of silvering to the original plate; previous beetle activity (inactive).
