19th C. Japanese Dragon Carved Center Table

Japan, late 19th/early 20th century. Hardwood center table with deep relief carved design of writhing dragons and clouds, pierced skirt, on four figural dragon motif legs. Approx. h. 29.5", dia. 43". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Neighbors of Atlanta, Georgia.
Condition Report: Joint shrinkage and associated looseness. Chip losses to carving high points. Edge piece of skirt missing. Finish wear consistent with age and use.
