19th C. John Aldwinckle & James Slater Sterling Silver Coffee Set

DESCRIPTION: Victorian aesthetic movement coffee set by John Aldwinckle & James Slater - including coffeepot, creamer, and sugar cellar - each featuring on its side repousse scenes of winding flowers and foliage populated by birds and puncuated by monogrammed and deer emblazoned medallions. Coffee Pot lid is sports a moth finial and handle is crafted as a wooden branch complete with leafage. Cellar is hallmarked on underside; coffeepot is hallmarked on underside of lid, on wingnut holding finial in place, and on deer medallion side of body; and creamer is marked on deer medallion side of body. Total weight: 1,428 g.
