19th C. Mourning Pendant/Brooch

A 19th Century Mourning Pendant/Brooch. Black enamel and gold with scrolling motif is centered by a woven lock of hair, engraved "In Memory of William Lash Oct. 5th, Nov.r 1862" verso. No other markings evident. Scratches verso, pinback is slightly misshapen, lacking cover over back portion, slight split to gold at top portion. 2 1/8" x 1 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $100-150
