Rare 19th Century or earlier carved wood Christian religious icon statue. Depicting a saint, bishop, or pope. Ornately painted floral gilt design, throughout the cape, garment and headpiece. Figure holding a book in one hand and a canister in the other. Reads "SI NACIO-B M" along base. Measures 16 1/2 in. x 7 1/2 in. x 5 1/2 in.
