Central Asia, Tibet, ca. 19th century CE. A heavy-cast bronze seated Buddha. He sits with both legs crossed atop a large, integral platform, and his folded hands hold a small bottle of amrita. His pose is static yet serene, and his flowing garments only aid in accentuating this depiction. Downcast eyes convey a peaceful state of mind while drooping ears frame his visage, with curled hair nodes and a flaming ushnisha atop his head. Size: 5.25" H (13.3 cm).
