19th CENT. SIDE KNIFE w/ SHEATH, NEWTON-SHEFFIELD
Very nice original mid 19th century side knife measuring 8 3/4" with a 5" blade. Single edge blade has clipped point and is maker marked "John Newton & Co. Sheffield". The knife has nice stag grips and original leather sheath. Overall a nice looking knife that was a popular back up weapon during the Civil War. Very Good-Excellent
