This canvas sits well within its frame and feels secure. The painting would likely benefit from being cleaned professionally, there is some crackling to the surface, this is most noticeable at the blue sky area. To each side located approx half way up the outside edge of the canvas are almost symmetrical raised areas - at first it was assumed these were nail heads but upon closer inspection this just seems to be raised paint - we can't access this from the back as there is a wood stretcher insitu.
