19th Cent. Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Urn

DESCRIPTION: Antique Chinese blue and white porcelain jar and cover from the 19th century, of ovoid form, decorated in underglaze blue with an interior Palace scene with Emperor and courtesan figures, beneath a double blue lines border, the domed cover similarly decorated with figures and surmounted by a lotus bud finial. Marked with underglaze double blue circles hallmark.

CONDITION: Crack repaired on lid. Minor porcelain hairline on the rim.
