19th Cent. Dore Bronze and Marble Clock

DESCRIPTION: Antique dore bronze and black slate clock set. Features a dome topped mantle clock topped with a dore bronze finial. Enveloping the ledge before the dome are embossed scenes of figures and mythical beings playing instruments, and parading through the forest. The center clock is encased in a beveled glass compartment and embellished with gilded Roman numerals and dore bronze border. clock is flanked by Greco-Roman columns. Set includes two adornments, one of a soldier in the center of Greco Roman columns topped by a dome and another of a scholar with matching columns and dome top.
