Cataloger Note: Antique French Renaissance Revival style gilt bronze decorative ewer. It features a highly sculptural figural handle shaped like a stylized classical female caryatid, which arches over a shell-fluted pouring spout. The main body is heavily cast in relief with classical armor helmets, acanthus leaves, and grotesque mythical masks.
