Scarce 19th century Currier and Ives baseball lithograph 'American National Game of Base Ball: Grand Match for the Championship at the Elysian Fields, Hoboken, N.J' Dated 1866, (Conningham, 180). Identified by inscriptions in the matrix. Lithograph with hand-coloring on paper, sheet size 20.9375 in. x 29.75 in., in a period wood frame. Condition: trimmed, light scratches, small stains and toning. Dry-mounted to masonite. Measures 26.5 in. x 36.25 in. framed.
