19th Century Fan

Mid 19th century fan, with bone sticks and guard sticks, encrusted with gold and silver foil in a repeating pattern. The paper leaf is hand coloured lithography with a very unusual design of geometric patterns between the cartouche, circa 1850-1860, central vignette depicting figures playing musical instruments, approx 50 x 26.5 cms, housed within a glass case.
