French, 19th century. "The Blissful Rose", oil on canvas painting, apparently unsigned. A cartoon for a verdure tapestry dense woods with a small area to lower right of a single blossomed rose with mountains in the background. Approx: 34.25" x 38". Provenance: From The Estate of Mrs. Carol Klotz, proprietor of Regalo Antiques, of Atlanta, Georgia.
Condition Report: Top left corner of canvas is slightly pushed. Under blacklight examination: Scattered areas of over paint to leaves and touchups from an apparent canvas repair above rose.
