19th Century Naga Tribe Headhunter Warrior's Authentic Ceremonial Necklace, Circa 1890. Hand carved bone bead spacers; 27 19th century small brass bells; hand woven fiber original stringing, consisting primarily of 19th century tubular dark brown glass trade beads,dark blue trade beads, green, orange, and red trade seed beads, hand cut circular sea shell clasp with a yellow bead in it’s center. Collection catalogue number reads: “786a” and a circular red seal that reads: “David Howard Tribal Art”. {Approximate dimensions: 12 high x 12 3/4 inches wide.}. Parallels: Similar examples are illustrated in “The Nagas” on pps. 311 and 320. Condition: A tiny .5 x .25 tribal repair on the stringing is in one corner. Very light wear overall.
