19th Century Tantalus in Ebonized and Brass Inlay Case
19th century, and probably French, an ebonized case with brass inlay and escutcheon, opens to reveal four gilt rimmed decanters and four small sherry glasses (several holders missing glasses). Ht. 10.5", wd. 14", dp. 10".
Condition Report: Some brass inlay peeling, no key, but case is unlocked, some minor age splitting to ebonized surface and other peeling. Split to top vertically in center, missing glasses as mentioned above.
