19th Century Welsh mahogany 8 day clock by Thomas Evans of Pontypool, having arched hood with eagle and ball pediment above shaped arch aperture flanked by writhen gilt metal mounted columns, checker banded plain door, flanked by canted angles on a checker banded panelled base with bracket feet. Painted face with Roman numerals, seconds dial and date aperture, decorated with country houses. Face 18 x 12.5cm approx. Eight day two train movement striking on one bell. Overall 230cm high including finials approx.
