French carved oak desk, 19th century, having a pierce carved cornice depicting a shield cartouche with a term mask flanked by gryphons leading to pierce carved acanthus scrollwork, surmounting two short drawers flanking an open compartment, above the writing surface inlaid with black leather, the gadrooned long drawer rising on barley twist legs terminating in toupie feet, connected by H-form barley twist stretchering, 51"h x 38"w x 25"d.
