Napoleon Bonaparte French gilt bronze mantel clock, Paris, late 19th century, the bronze case having Napoleon posed as an artillery officer manning a canon, with a silvered clock dial having Roman numerals mounted behind the wheel of the caisson, surmounting a case with an applied scene of Napoleon as the center of the Republic flanked by military trophies, the case terminating to a relief scrollwork band, the whole rising on laurel wreath form feet swagged to a central wreath form drop, all inscribed with Napoleonic battles, including Toulon, Mantour and Lodi, movement inscribed on the backplate, T.C.
