French Renaissance Revival hall bench with original needlepoint upholstery, 19th century, executed in carved walnut, having a spindle gallery with finals at each end above a rectangular back upholstered in a crimson and saffron tapestry depicting a coat of arms with unicorns, griffins, and serpents, flanked by acanthus carved arms ending in lion's head terminals, above a conforming upholstered seat with nailhead trim, rising on fluted legs resting on 'H' stretchering, the whole terminating to ball feet, 47"h x 59"w x 24"d; seat 19"h.
