19th century, Anglo-Indian School, Watercolour, A study of a landscape with Banyan trees and a river with boats beyond. Titled Barrackpore, Ellenborough Walk, and dated 1870 under. The walk was named in honour of Edward Law, 1st Earl of Ellenborough (1790-1871), who was president of the board of Control and served as Governor General of India from 1842-1844. Further ascribed verso. Approx. 10" x 13 1/4"
