This is a famous scene and rare image with very few examples known. Oil on canvas laid down on board. Framed. Overall: 34.5 x 48in. A similar, smaller, painting sold at Christies, lot 153 New York 6/4/1992 as well as "Chinese Export Art"; Margaret Jourdain, plate 50.
