19th century agate intaglio, Marcus Aurelius

A 19th century carnelian intaglio, believed to depict Marcus Aurelius, in 19th century partial mount, wearable as a brooch.

Length 3.7cms. 11.3gms.

Condition Report:
Probably set into a seal formerly, current mount shows wear and discolouration, varied small marks.
Later brooch fittings, base metal pin and pin hinge.
Agate is cracked in two with minor associated losses.
