19th century gold shell cameo brooch

A late Victorian gold mounted shell cameo brooch, carved to depict Cupid riding a lion.

Length 3cms. 6.9gms.Condition Report:

Surface scratches and small marks. General, varied discolouration.
Base metal pin.
Clasp currently not functioning, slight dents and marks, will require attention.
File marks to reverse.
Shell shows fine cracks. Slightly loose within the mount.

Electronically tests to reverse as approximately 18-19ct gold.
