British School, Portrait of Robert Richardson, 1780-1836, finely rendered gouache, watercolor and charcoal on paper, unfinished, the verso with a charcoal portrait of a young lady seated before a drapery swag, with a floral filled urn and distant view, in frame with wood backing inscribed verso, Robert Richardson Born 1780, Married 1807, Died 1836, Issue Son and Daughters. 12 x 8.5 in. sheet and image size 15 x 11.5 in. as framed. Condition: Unfinished work, some flaking of pigment on cravat of gentleman, some wear to surface in the form of scuffs, paper buckled.
