A pair of Staffordshire porcelain figurines, 19th century. "The Bird Watchers" by John Bevington, Hanley Staffordshire, UK. Modeled after Meissen and Dresden style figural groupings. One figurine depicts a young girl holding a bird above a bird cage (6.25" high). The boy holds a bird in one hand and balances a nest in the other (5.75" high) Both signed underfoot with the maker's mark of John Bevington.CONDITION: Chip to bird's tail held by the boy. No other adverse condition issues noted to either figurine.
