19thc US Navy Sailing Ship, Primitive Oil on Canvas

Framed maritime Primitive - style oil on canvas, 19th century. The 3-masted US Navy frigate / schooner sailing ship is depicted flying the American flag. The flag at the top of the mast appears to read Mont Blanc. Ship identification also written on the back stretcher "Mont Blanc" and dated 1854. Unsigned, although label with numbers 791 partially hidden at lower left of front corner, hidden by frame. Measures 22" x 28". Framed, 24" x 30" x 2" deep.CONDITION NOTE: craquelure and an area of paint loss, see photos.
