19th Century Victorian Conta & Boheme porcelain fairing, trinket box in the form of a striped cat with green eyes & a tiny green frog atop a mantel. Colorful piece with original gilt. Numbered on the bottom. 4 1/2" H X 3 1/4" W X 2 1/4" D. Called "fairing boxes" because they were made to be sold or given away as prizes at fairs & carnivals during the mid 19th century.
