2 19th Century Whiting and Shiebler Sterling Silver
A group of Whiting and Shiebler sterling silver bowls. The smaller bowl has a floral design and an inscription on the bottom, stating ‘Jessy from cousin Mary and Louis September 30th, 1885’. The larger bowl has a foliate pattern around the rim and an inscription stating ‘Mary Louise Fish from Auntie Miller June 5th 1889’. Dimensions are: 4 3/8 inches wide X 2 1/8 inches tall, 11.1 cm X 5.4 cm. Total weight: 352.06 g (11.3 ozt). All measurements are approximate. Condition: The smaller bowl has minor surface wear and a small dent to the bottom rim. The larger bowl has minor surface wear. Provenance: From a private Ashburn, VA collection.
