2 "AS FOUND" 1863 MANUFACTURED COLT POCKET MODEL

REVOLVERS. Cal. 31. S# 228635 & 242074. Most all of Dan Poppen's guns in his collection were collected locally, so we can imagine that both pocket models were used during the War & found in Virginia. Represented here is a 4" & a 5" bbl. Both very good w/ traces of finish, good cyl. scenes & good varnished grips. Either would make a good addition to a basic Civil War collection as approx. 90,000 of these were made during the War. CONDITION: both are original & matching, grading good to very good. Both are mechanically fine w/ good rifled bores. PROVENANCE: Estate collection of Dan Poppen. (01-17328 & 01-17338/JS). ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,200.
