2 Chinese Ming Dynasty Longquan Celadon Large Plates one with an impressed center design of a Deer, the other with an impressed center design of flowers; the underside with glaze over the foot rim and fired to unglazed circle inside foot now burned bright red from the kiln, recessed center with glaze. Deer plate with short hairline from mouth visible inside not outside, whole glazed surface of each abraded, possibly from burial. Diameter of slightly larger (deer) 10 1/4 inches (26 cm.).
