Pair of well-composed Comanche cabinet cards by Lenny & Sawyers, the prolific photographers who operated in Purcell, a shipping hub along the South Canadian River. The pair photographed subjects from various tribes including the Apache, Caddo, Comanche, Kiowa, Oto, and Wichita. These artists collectively built an important record of indigenous life on the Southern Plains during a very tumultuous time.
