Pair of Continental handled baluster form vases in the Rococo taste, late 19th or early 20th century, having a shaped rim accented with gilded palms, centering a gilded cabochon flanked by reticulated trellis panels, framed in figural polychrome maiden form handles with gilded scrollwork accents, above painted reserves depicting Renaissance court life, and en verso reserves depicting floral motifs, each rising on a cobalt and gilt base with scrollwork accents, reticulated trellis panels, and terminating on four scroll feet, apparently unmarked, 26"h x 13"w x 6.5"d.
