(pair) French Louis XIV style carved walnut armchairs, early 20th c., having padded back and seat in later figural needlework upholstery, depicting feasts, courtship scenes, and dog hunts, nailhead trim, scrolled handholds, rising on stretcher-joined supports, stenciled Le Confort Anglais upholstery mark under seat, (one) with split seam to upholstery at back of seat, approx 50"h, 26"w, 24"d, seat height: approx 19.5"h
Condition Report: 4.8.24-
In my opinion regarding LOT: 3212-Both chairs sit sturdy and frames are tight, wood frames appear intact with only some very minor wood wear and tonal variation, front upholstery appears intact however the high back of each is slightly loose, back, as described the upholstery on the high back of each shows separation along tacks to one, and some small holes and dirt to the other, please see attached images for your review
