2 Karl Brandner O/C Landscape Paintings of Barns

Two (2) Karl C. Brandner (Illinois, 1898-1961) impressionistic oil on canvas landscape paintings. 1st item: Painting depicting a barn before a small body of water, surrounded by fall foliage. Signed "K C Brandner" lower left. Housed in a white mat. 2nd item: Painting depicting several haystacks in a plowed field before a group of trees, a barn and a house visible in the background beneath an ominous grey and blue sky. Unsigned. Unframed. Both paintings with "Estate of Karl C. Brandner 1898-1961" black ink stamps en verso of canvases. Canvases ranging in size from 12 1/4" H to 14" H x 16" W. Mat: 14" H x 19 1/8" W. Provenance: Estate of Carl Klein, Brentwood, TN.
Condition Report: Both items in overall good condition with light craquelure, pinprick holes to corners. 2nd item: 1 1/8" tear, top right of canvas.
