2 SWATOW BLUE AND WHITE DECORATED PORCELAIN BOWLS

Late Ming Period, 16th/17th Century, Zhangzhou Prefecture. The interior center recess with a single blossoming flower with stylized leaves, the upper inside border with swirling motifs, the exterior linear borders centering flutes. Diameter 11in.
Provenance: Excavated on Luzon, the northern island of the Philippines. Purchased by the present owners during the 1980’s, while residing in the Philippines.
