2 vintage ladies tops includes a c1940 Ladies Gingham Jacket by Cartwright (designed by Martha Gale) features a brown and white gingham body, padded shoulders, and a tailored silhouette. As well as a tiered double collar with a gingham base collar and velvet upper collar. There are 2 rounded faux pockets at the bust, a 10 button front closure with button accents on the cuffed sleeves, and a tailored waist. The fiber content of the fabric is unknown but it is possible it is an early polyester. An internal label lists the jacket as style 105 and a size 11, the measurements laying flat are as follows: Shoulders 14.5'', bust 17'', waist 13'', sleeve 24'', length 23''. The jacket is in very good condition and has no visible issues. Along with a c1940 Beaded and Ribbed Short Sleeve Top with a deep V neck, black synthetic knit body with applied ribbing and beaded black stripes in a band starting at the waist. There is a well hidden metal side zip closure and the maker of this piece is unknown. Laying flat the top measures shoulders 15 1/4'', bust 16.5'', waist 13.5'', length 26.5''. It is in fair condition with storage line fading at the shoulders and a few lost or loose beaded stripes. Both the bottom seam and the seams on the sleeves have become partially unsewn.
