2 confiture bowls in a very good condition, from 1838, made by Maitre Orfévre; Martinal FREY, a silversmith, Paris, France. These two bowls are made of 950 silver and flawless crystal glass. From 10th May, 1838, the head of Minerva replaced all previous hallmarks, becoming the only silver mark (large objects) for the whole of France. Among other things, Minerva was also the Roman goddess of craftsmanship. Bowl 1 Height: 250 mm Width: 240 mm. Weight: 1107 g Bowl 2 Height: 230 mm Width: 190 mm Weight: 805 g These two antique collector’s piece quite simply belong in any collection.
