2000 Upper Deck SP Authentic Sign of the Times Peyton Manning Autograph #PM BGS 9 Auto 10
By 2000, Peyton Manning was still near the beginning of his NFL career, years before he would retire as a two-time Super Bowl champion, five-time league MVP, and one of the most influential quarterbacks in football history. That early timing gives this SP Authentic Sign of the Times autograph much of its appeal - it captures Manning before the resume was complete, when he was still establishing the cerebral, line-of-scrimmage style that would eventually redefine expectations for the position. Upper Deck's Sign of the Times series has long been respected for its clean autograph-focused presentation, allowing Manning's signature to remain the unmistakable centerpiece rather than burying it beneath an elaborate design. The card carries a strong BGS 9 grade alongside a perfect 10 autograph, but its greatest attraction is simply its proximity to the beginning of one of the greatest quarterback careers the sport has witnessed.
